asked the Minister for Finance when he intends to provide the new national school at Whitegate, County Cork to replace the school burned out two months ago.

The plans and specification for this school have been completed, and a quantity surveyor has been engaged to prepare bills of quantities. It is hoped that tenders will be invited in about two months.

59.

asked the Minister for Finance the present position regarding the provision of an additional room at Carrigaline girls national school, County Cork; when he expects that work will commence; and if he will take steps to expedite this project.

The working drawings and specification for the extension of this school are being put in hands and it is hoped that tenders can be invited in about three months. There will be no undue delay in having a contract placed and work started.
