95.

asked the Minister for External Affairs what action the Government have taken on Resolution (67) 12 adopted on 29th June 1967 by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and relating to doping of athletes.

As there is no evidence to show that the doping of athletes is a problem here, it is not considered necessary to take governmental action on the resolution to which the Question refers.

96.

asked the Minister for External Affairs what action the Government have taken on Resolution (67) 13 adopted on 29th June, 1967 by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and relating to the press and the protection of youth.

The terms of the Resolution referred to are under consideration.

97.

asked the Minister for External Affairs what action the Government have taken on Resolution (67) 14 adoped on 29th June 1967 by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and relating to asylum to persons in danger of persecution.

The practice here in relation to asylum for persons in danger of persecution conforms with the principles outlined in the resolution referred to by the Deputy.

98.

asked the Minister for External Affairs what action the Government have taken on Resolution (67) 16 adopted on 29th June, 1967 by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and relating to the role, training and status of social workers.

The practice here is generally in line with the recommendations contained in the Resolution.

99.

asked the Minister for External Affairs what action the Government have taken on Resolution (67) 17 adopted on 29th June, 1967 by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and relating to social aspects of regional development policy.

The principles laid down in the Resolution referred to by the Deputy are, in general, adhered to in our regional development policies.

100.

asked the Minister for External Affairs what action the Government have taken on Resolution (67) 20 adopted on 29th June, 1967, by the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe and relating to the place of medical rehabilitation in the organisation of health services.

The practice here in regard to medical rehabilitation broadly conforms to the recommendations contained in the Resolution referred to by the Deputy.

The Dáil adjourned at 4.15 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Tuesday, 18th June, 1968.
