Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Local Authority Development Plans.

20.

asked the Minister for Local Government when the local authorities are required to have their development plans ready; and how many local authorities have already submitted plans to his Department.

The Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963 required planning authorities to make development plans for their areas within three years from 1st October, 1964, or such longer period as might be allowed by me in particular instances.

Development plans have now been made by 72 planning authorities in respect of 131 separate planning areas.
