Vol. 235 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pollution of River Liffey.

42.

asked the Minister for Local Government if there is a regular inspection organised by his Department or the local authority for the control of pollution of the River Liffey.

The matter referred to by the Deputy is primarily one for the sanitary authority concerned, Dublin Corporation, who inform me that while testing of the water in the River Liffey is not carried out at regular intervals samples of the water are taken from time to time for analysis.
