(i) In some counties carters who use ponies and carts or donkeys and carts are paid lower rates than those shown in the statement.
(ii) Range of remuneration depends on class of driver or weight of vehicle.
(iii) Increase of £1 per week with effect from 1st April, 1968, offered by local authority.
(iv) Higher rate applicable to excavator driver; lower rate applicable to trackshovel driver.
(v) A two-year scale, commencing at £10 17s. 6d. and rising by six-monthly increments to £12 18s. 3d. operates during training period.
(vi) Higher rate applicable to excavator driver; lower rate applicable to traxcavator driver.
