Vol. 237 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Shannon Duty-Free Shop.

18.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if, when the Boeing 747 commences service on the trans-Atlantic route, there will be any changes in the present arrangement whereby passengers travelling between Dublin and the USA are allowed to leave the aircraft at Shannon to purchase goods in the duty-free shop; and, if so, if he will give details.

I am not at present aware of any proposal which would preclude passengers travelling between Dublin and the USA on B747 aircraft from leaving their aircraft and purchasing goods in the duty-free shop at Shannon.
