Vol. 237 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Carrick-on-Suir Dump.

12.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Local Government if he can do anything in respect of the local dump at Carrick-on-Suir, County Tipperary so as to improve conditions and ameliorate the sufferings of a local resident (name supplied).

As I informed the Deputy in reply to his previous Question, No. 22 of 7 June, 1967, it is for the sanitary authority concerned to ensure the proper maintenance of this dumping place. I have again made inquiries in the matter and am informed that all necessary action is being taken to ensure that the dump does not become a nuisance to nearby residents, including the local resident referred to by the Deputy.
