Vol. 239 No. 5

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Offaly School Transport.

asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in dealing with the urgent problem of school transport in the case of children attending Esker national school, Mount Lucas, County Offaly; if a number of surveys have taken place without satisfactory results; if he will now give a decision having regard to the reasonable request of the parents concerned; and when it is hoped that a transport scheme will come into operation.

An application for the provision of free transport for children attending Esker national school was made to my Department. The case has been investigated and CIE is being asked to organise the transport service to the school. The service should commence shortly.
