Vol. 240 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick City Bridge.

Mr. O'Malley

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the urgent need for a further bridge over the Shannon in Limerick city to relieve traffic congestion; and the present position regarding the proposal to provide such a bridge.

The provision of a new bridge across the River Shannon in Limerick city is a matter, in the first instance, for the Limerick Corporation as the road authority concerned. No proposal has so far been submitted to my Department.
