Vol. 241 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Store Cattle Trade.

24.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if it is hoped to have Cardiff reopened as a United Kingdom port of entry for the Irish store cattle trade; if so, when; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

While there have been discussions between the Cardiff port authorities and livestock interests in this country, no firm proposals for the opening of the port for the Irish cattle trade have emerged. My Department are keeping in touch with the matter.
