asked the Minister for Health if he is aware of the difficulties encountered in the purchase of a site from a company (name supplied) for a health centre for the Butterfield-Ballyroan area of south County Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that the members of the Dublin Health Authority decided at a recent meeting not to proceed with the purchase of a site for a health centre in Butterfield-Ballyroan, having regard to the price sought for a suitable site, and the fact that they had already decided on a major extension to the Rathfarnham Health Centre.
As the Rathfarnham Health Centre is only a mile and a half from the most distant part of the Butterfield-Ballyroan district, the health authority's decision appears reasonable to me.
