Neither my Department nor the Office of Public Works has yet been advised that repairs or painting have been carried out to Kilnamona national school. I am having inquiries made, however, and if, in fact improvements have been carried out and they are certified as having been necessary and satisfactory, the question of allowing an appropriate grant will have immediate attention.
It is not the practice to disclose the arrangements made with school managers in relation to State grants in the case of school building projects.
