Vol. 243 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Free TV Licences.

43.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will consider issuing free television licences to families or to individuals who have been certified as being deaf.

I regret that any extension of the existing arrangements for the grant of free television licences to persons aged 70 and over who have an old age or equivalent pension cannot be contemplated.
