Yesterday I was asked a Parliamentary question by Deputy Clinton about a particular book which, as it turned out, the Censorship of Publications Board had already considered and decided not to prohibit.
In reply to supplementary questions by Deputy Clinton, as far as I recall I said something to the effect that an appeal can be made to the Appeal Board against a decision of the Censorship Board. In the context in which we were speaking, what I said may have been misleading because, while there is a right of appeal against a prohibition order, there is no appeal against a decision not to prohibit a book.
