Vol. 245 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions Oral Answers. - Waterford Garda Stations.

17.

asked the Minister for Finance the number of rents and amounts involved paid by the Office of Public Works for Garda stations in Waterford city.

The two existing garda stations in Waterford city, namely, that at Ferrybank and that at Newtown are rented premises.

In addition, the State is under rent in respect of No. 15 South Parade which was used as a garda station until last month and the tenancy of which is not due to expire until January, 1971.

The total of the rents payable in respect of the three premises referred to is £2,210 per annum.

It has never been the practice to disclose the individual rents payable out of rented premises as the amounts concerned are regarded as confidential between the landlord and tenant.
