Vol. 245 No. 11

Written Answer. - Roscommon Hospital Employees.

31.

asked the Minister for Health if he is aware that some employees of Roscommon hospital have their meal time regarded as off-duty time for pay purposes; and if he will consider rectifying this position in view of the small number involved.

I have no direct functions in regard to the remuneration and conditions of service of porters in the employment of local health authorities. As a general rule, the conditions of employment for porters and other servant grades correspond to the conditions obtaining locally for similar employment. The machinery of the Labour Court is available for the resolution of any disputes.
