Vol. 246 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Lands.

34.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission intend to acquire the Robinson estate, Ballydrehid, Cahir, County Tipperary in the near future; and, if so, what is the present position.

The Land Commission have recently carried out a detailed inspection of this 73-acre property with a view to determining whether acquisition proceedings should be instituted.

The report furnished is being studied and it is expected that there will be an early decision in the matter.

Can the Minister say when representations were first made to have this estate divided?

I have no information on that. The land was inspected comparatively recently—25th February and 25th March—but I have no note as to when the attention of the Land Commission was first drawn to it.

It is a very long time since the first representations were made and the division has not been carried out yet.

I have no information on that.
