I expect to receive the final recommendations of the Working Party on Drug Abuse later this year. I would refer the Deputy to the statement issued on 3rd November, 1969, on my behalf by the Government Information Bureau regarding interim recommendations made to me by the working party.
Would the Minister state if some of the recommendations proposed the setting-up of a register of drug addicts?
That is one of the matters under consideration.

Is the Minister satisfied that the present arrangements in County Dublin for the treatment of drug addicts are adequate?
No, they are not adequate. This arises on another question.
