Vol. 246 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Garda Training Courses.

31.

asked the Minister for Justice whether any Garda officers have been sent on training courses with the FBI or other police forces in the past six weeks; if so, their names and rank; and the period for which they will be on such courses.

Three members of the force, two of garda and one of sergeant rank, attended courses abroad in the past six weeks. The lengths of the courses were 12 days, 33 days and 40 days. The latter course is still in progress.

It is not the practice to give the names of individuals in matters of this nature.
