Vol. 247 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Industry.

28.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the urgent need of industry at Fethard, County Tipperary; and if he will take steps immediately to procure industry for this town.

The Government are already providing generous incentives to encourage industrialists to establish and develop industry in all areas. I understand that, at present, three applications from firms in Fethard for grants under the small industries programme towards the cost of the establishment or development of industries are under examination by the Industrial Development Authority.
