Vol. 249 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Milk Prices.

49.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he is aware of the growing concern amongst creamery milk suppliers in relation to the price of milk; and if the restrictions imposed by the Minister for Finance recently will apply to all milk delivered to creameries in 1971.

I had discussions on 27th October with representatives of the farming organisations about creamery milk prices, and I will be giving careful consideration to the representations they made to me.

The Prices Acts, 1958 and 1965 do not apply to prices paid to producers for primary agricultural products, including milk and milk products and no change is contemplated in this position.
