andMr. G. Lynch asked the Minister for Local Government if, in view of the recent disaster at Ibrox Park, Glasgow, it is intended to carry out any survey in order to determine the standard of safety in each major sports stadium in the Republic.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether, in view of the recent tragic events at football matches in Britain, he is satisfied that adequate precautions are taken in this country.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 129 and 130 together.

I have asked local authorities to investigate the adequacy of safety precautions at all major sports grounds or stadia in their districts.
