Vol. 251 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Medical Cards.

13.

asked the Minister for Health if he will consider making arrangements with the various health authorities for the issue of medical cards to all holders of service medals (1916/21).

The statutory criterion for the issue of a medical card is that the person to whom it is issued must be unable to provide, from his own resources, general practitioner medical services for himself or his dependants. The Deputy will appreciate that not all holders of service medals satisfy this criterion.
