Vol. 251 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Commission Purchase.

10.

asked the Minister for Lands if it has been brought to his notice that the Land Commission purchased a holding of land from a person (name supplied) about two years ago and have not yet paid him; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This small property was acquired by the Land Commission in 1966 and, following examination and clearance of title, the purchase money was distributed in 1968 to the General Solicitor for Minors and Wards of Court who had earlier been appointed committee of the estate of the deceased owner by order of the High Court. The matter is therefore not now within the province of the Land Commission.
