*Already partly allotted.

NOTE: During the last three complete financial years the aggregate area allotted in Co. Kerry was approximately 4,500 acres.

andMr. Begley asked the Minister for Lands if, in view of the fact that the Land Commission can keep under review allotments they have previously made to people, he will initiate a full scale inquiry into the use made at present of lands allocated by the Commission in Kerry over the past five years.

The answer is in the negative. I am not aware of any circumstances which would call for an inquiry on the lines envisaged. If the Deputies have any particular property in mind which they consider should be investigated on account of bad user, I would suggest that they communicate direct with the Land Commission. I might add that I am satisfied that the standard of performance by the recipients of land from the Land Commission in County Kerry is as good as will be found in any other county.
