Vol. 251 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rathfarnham (Dublin) Girls' Post Primary Education.

22.

asked the Minister for Education the projected requirements for girls' post primary education in the Rathfarnham district of County Dublin over the next three years; and if he will outline the steps which he is taking to satisfy the demand.

The position in the Rathfarnham area has recently been reviewed by the Dublin advisory council. It has been estimated that 1,350 post primary places for girls will be required by 1975. There are 750 places available at present in the existing schools. An additional 400 places will be provided in Sancta Maria College and a further 200 places in the proposed new vocational school.
