asked the Minister for Local Government what the present position is in regard to the Cloughduv group water scheme, County Cork.

It is proposed to use a Cork County Council borehole to serve this group. The council have been asked to supply information about the quantity and quality of the water in the bore.

48.

asked the Minister for Local Government the position regarding the proposed group water scheme at Menlough, Ballinasloe, County Galway.

Three sources investigated for this scheme have proved unsatisfactory. Efforts are continuing to find an adequate source to serve the 112 houses involved.

49.

asked the Minister for Local Government the position regarding the Ballydooley group water scheme, County Roscommon.

I assume the Deputy is referring to a scheme for Ballymacfrane, Donamon, which includes Ballydooley area.

This scheme has been approved and 23 grants notified to the group. The eligibility for grants of nine other houses is being examined.

50.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the urgent need for the provision of proper sewerage facilities at Bonniconlon, Ballina, County Mayo; and what steps are being taken to have these provided.

According to the latest information available to me this scheme is not regarded by Mayo County Council as having a high priority in their water and sewerage scheme programme.
