Under the terms of the lease held by the company carrying out these borings, any information supplied to me in relation to its operations is confidential. However, I would refer the Deputy to a statement issued by the company, and reported in some newspapers earlier this month, that the drilling failed to show oil or gas in commercial quantities, and that it has been decided to plug and abandon the well.
