Vol. 252 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Estate Duty.

26.

asked the Minister for Finance if, in considering budgetary policy, he will bear in mind the possibility of increasing the limit of the value of a deceased person's estate below which estate duty is not payable, having particular regard to the substantial increases in house property values which make the family assets of persons of even reasonably small means liable for estate duty.

This is a matter which I shall bear in mind when I am considering budgetary policy.
