Vol. 252 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Church of Kill o' the Grange.

29.

asked the Minister for Finance if, in view of the historic importance of Kill Abbey, Kill o' the Grange, he will state what steps it is proposed to take to have the Abbey, including the graveyard, kept in a proper state of repair; and if he will consider the appointment of a caretaker there.

Repairs to the ancient church of Kill o' the Grange, known as Kill Abbey, are carried out at regular intervals. Works recently completed included removal of vegetation, replacement of loose masonry, flaunching and repointing. The graveyard is in the care of Dublin County Council who are at present repairing the boundary wall. The appointment of a caretaker is under consideration.
