asked the Minister for Defence the price received for the military transport vessel, General McHardy, which was recently sold to Haulbowline Industries Ltd. at Passage West, County Cork.

The SS. General McHardy was sold by competitive tender to Haulbowline Industries Limited, Passage West, County Cork. It is not the practice of my Department to disclose prices.

What was the price of the vessel?

When a Deputy asks a question about the price of something such as a large ocean going vessel, the price should be available to the House.
