Vol. 252 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Purchase of Residence.

4.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if any funds of his Department were used at any time to purchase a house or residence for any officer of his Department; if so, the location of such house; the date of purchase; the cost of same; the rent, if any, which is paid by the occupier in respect of such residence; and if he will make a statement in relation to the matter.

No funds of my Department have been used at any time to purchase a house or residence for any officer of my Department. The Office of Public Works does, however, provide free furnished official residences for Heads of Mission serving abroad.
