Vol. 252 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Planning Appeal.

60.

asked the Minister for Local Government when he hopes to give his decision on the planning appeal lodged by Gaeltarra Éireann against the decision of the Galway County Council refusing planning permission for a housing scheme of eight houses at Furbo.

I hope to be in a position to give a decision on this appeal shortly.

Can the Minister indicate what he means by "shortly"?

I am surprised the Deputy should ask me that question as he is a member of the local authority which refused permission for the erection of these houses at Furbo. There will be no undue delay.

What is the intention?

The Minister is going to grant it.

I did not say that.

One can read between the lines.
