asked the Minister for Lands if he will state in respect of the land acquired by the Land Commission in each of the past five years (1) the amount acquired (a) compulsorily and (b) voluntarily; (2) the acreage paid for (a) in cash and (b) in bonds; (3) the total amount of cash involved; and if he will state the acreage divided during the period.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

NOTES: (1) In addition to the areas shown at Col. (3) an area of 41,091 acres was transferred or surrendered to the Land Commission in exchange for other lands and an area of 811 acres was resumed on former Congested Districts Board Estates at a price of £18,285.

(2) The total area divided during the period was 163,607 acres.
