asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will state in respect of the years 1935 and 1970 (a) the number of bacon curing licences in existence, (b) the number of bacon curing factories in the country, (c) the number of persons employed in these factories and (d) the number of pigs killed.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to have circulated with the Official Report.
