Vol. 252 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cavan School Strike.

28.

(Cavan) asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that a strike at Corratober school, Arva, County Cavan, is now entering its eighth week; if he will take steps to have the school put into a satisfactory state of repair or to accommodate the children in Gowna national school or in the vocational school in Arva; if he will meet a deputation from the parents committee; and if he will make a statement on the general position.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply of the 9th February to a previous question from him in regard to this case.

I understand that the pupils at Corratober National School have returned to school.

Pending the provision of additional accommodation at Gowna works of improvement will be carried out at Corratober to render it reasonably suitable in the meantime.
