Vol. 253 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Estate.

17.

asked the Minister for Lands the present position regarding the Nally Estate, Feigh East, Abbeyknockmoy, County Galway.

Proceedings have been instituted for compulsory acquisition of this 26 acre holding but it is not possible at this stage to indicate what the outcome may be.

A question of the exclusion of six acres for direct sale to an adjoining smallholder has arisen.

Am I wrong in thinking that this famous estate is becoming like King Charles' head and that this Nally Estate has featured time and again in Parliamentary Questions since the last election?

I should not think so. The statutory notice was published in July, 1970, and served in September, 1970.

I am talking about previous Parliamentary Questions about this fabulous estate.
