Vol. 253 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Coast Protection Scheme.

40.

asked the Minister for Finance the up-to-date position concerning the coastal protection work planned for Moville, County Donegal; and when work will commence in connection with the proposed improvement at Moville pier.

In regard to the coast protection scheme at Moville certain legal requirements have yet to be complied with but, all going well, I am hopeful that works can start before the end of the current year.

I cannot at this stage say when work is likely to start on improvements to the pier at Moville. Local interests have asked for substantial alterations in the original scheme proposed and these are being examined.
