asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the serious deterioration in the postal services in various parts of County Dublin during the past few months; that it now takes three or even four days for a letter posted in Dublin to reach other areas in the county; the cause of the deterioration in the quality of the service; and his plans to recitfy this situation.

I do not agree that there has been a deterioration in the postal service in County Dublin. If the Deputy furnishes particulars of cases in which delays have appeared to have occured I will have them specially investigated.
