asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs why he made provision, in the Estimate for his Department, for a sum of £10,000 as a Grant-in-Aid of the Irish Council of the European Movement.

The provision in question was made to assist the council in the dissemination of factual information about the European Communities, with particular reference to our application for membership of the Communities.
