Vol. 254 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Monaghan Estate.

130.

asked the Minister for Lands if a person (name supplied) was considered for an allotment of the Keenan estate, Terargarvon, Carrickmacross, County Monaghan; and, if so, why he was not given an allotment.

The selection of allottees is a matter reserved exclusively to the Land Commission.

An application by the person mentioned was given full consideration, in competition with other applications received, but it was not found possible to provide him with an allotment.

As is commonly the case when land is being divided, the area available fell far short of meeting the demand and, inevitably, some applicants had to be disappointed.
