Vol. 254 No. 14

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Post Office Van Drivers.

162.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs what compensation is available to drivers of post office mail vans who are injured in accidents while driving their vans.

The employees in question are, in common with other similar State employees, eligible for sick pay under the conditions of employment applicable to civil servants generally. They are also insured under the Social Welfare (Occupational Injuries) Act 1966.
