Vol. 254 No. 14

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Hours of Work Bill.

50.

asked the Minister for Labour if Government approval has as yet been given to the general outline of provisions of an Hours of Work Bill; and if he will state the terms of such outline.

Having had published and circulated a consultative document on an envisaged new Hours of Work Act, and received and examined observations from a number of sources, I am at present drawing up my proposals for a Bill. I will submit these in the near future for Government approval. Deputies will appreciate that it would not be appropriate at this time to give the House an outline of my proposals.
