Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Cork Company Grants.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce (a) the total amount of moneys paid in grants to a company in Cork (name supplied) by Foras Tionscal and by the Industrial Development Authority; (b) the total amount of moneys advanced to the company in the form of loans by the Industrial Credit Company Ltd; (c) what amounts have been repaid; and (d) the total amount of loans which were raised by the company and which were backed by Government guarantee.

The answers to the questions are:

(a) Grants paid—£717,892.

(b) Loans advanced—£2,052,214.

The Loans are in the form of debentures held by Taiscí Stáit and comprise a sum of £1,447,214 taken over from the Industrial Credit Company and a sum of £605,000 advanced directly by Taiscí Stáit.

(c) None of the money advanced by way of loan has been repaid.

(d) No State guarantee has been given in respect of loans raised by the company.
