A new mental treatment code, which involves a complete review of existing legislation, is in the course of preparation. I hope to be able to introduce the necessary legislation next year.
Can the Minister say will it be early, middle or late next year?
I am unable to say. A great number of discussions have to take place with such bodies as the College of Psychiatrists and other persons.
