Vol. 257 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Offaly School.

58.

asked the Minister for Education the present position in regard to the provision of a new national school at Shinrone, County Offaly; and if he has considered the possibility of using an alternative venue in the village as a school pending the completion of the new school.

My Department will sanction a grant towards the cost of the proposed new national school at Shinrone as soon as agreement has been reached in regard to the local contribution towards the cost of the school.

I am having inquiries made into the possibility of obtaining alternative accommodation for the pupils pending the provision of the new school.
