Vol. 257 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Galway-Roscommon Estates.

13.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission have any plans for the division of the Cruise estate, Barrinagh, Ballinlough, County Roscommon.

14.

asked the Minister for Lands when the following estates in County Galway will be allocated: (a) Dervan estate, Rosmoylan, Creggs, (b) McGough estate, Carrowkeel, Creggs and (c) Kenny estate, Carrowkeel, Creggs.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 13 and 14 together.

It is not possible just now to forecast when allotment of the Dervan and McGough estates will be effected but I understand that the aim is to include both in the coming year's allocation programme.

As yet I am unable to indicate when allotment of the Cruise and Kenny estates will take place. Possession of the latter passed to the Land Commission in May last.

15.

asked the Minister for Lands if there are any proceedings for the acquisition of the Carr estate, Tonamaddy, Creggs, County Roscommon.

Proceedings have been instituted for compulsory acquisition of this 27 acre holding and have reached the stage where the question of price remains to be settled.
