The estimated cost of this scheme is excessive on the basis submitted by the County Council. Their proposals were discussed recently by officers of my Department with the Council's officers and technical advisers. It was agreed that the council would re-examine the scheme with a view to achieving building cost economies and their further proposals are now awaited.
