In view of the comprehensive review which is undertaken annually when the Estimates for my Department are presented to the House —for which purpose a detailed statistical and informative document is circulated to Deputies in advance of the Estimates discussion—and also the number of special reports published from time to time on various aspects of the health services, I consider that the publication of an annual report would not be worth the effort and expense involved in its production.
Did the Minister's Department ever produce an annual report and, if so, when?
I could not say. They have not produced it since I have been Minister.
