asked the Minister for Social Welfare the current comparable rates of unemployment benefit paid to a husband and wife and three children in the Republic, Northern Ireland and Great Britain.

The standard weekly rate of unemployment benefit payable in this country—where a wage related scheme is not yet operative—in respect of a husband and wife and three children is £10.85. The current comparable rate payable both in Northern Ireland and Great Britain is £13.35.
